KIRA is kind and respectful, always giving love and affection to the ones she's most close to. She is courteous, polite, and soothing to be around. although, she can be overly kind, allowing people to step all over her. constantly needs to be reminded that not everyone is as trusting as they may seem, by her cousin and sisters.

Started to draw digitally on my Samsung Note 2 way back 2017. Now that I have a tablet to use.... I thought I'd redraw one of my pieces (Kira from Dirty Bomb) with "skills" I have now that it's 2019. Not the best/fastest of improvement but hey as long as I don't stop, I'll eventually get there. 💚

IN CONCLUSION- PRECIOUS BEANS THEY’RE ALL SO CUTE!!! being the second youngest before mirai (so aka’s a first year!) she’s like the inbetween of sorts, she’d love to bring mirai out to have a picnic or a botanical garden and her snow white instincts kick in and will bring a lil bunny for the younger girl to hold. aka will def see the three older girls as big sisters for sure! also they should be prepared for aka’s bubbly cinnamon roll energy when it comes to fairy tales and mythology :3 ~🌹rosie

okay but kira probably thought that aka was older at first because she seems pretty tall in kiras eyes! eitehr that or. kiras just that short. (spoiler she is very short.)

mirai being mirai would definitely be hesitant at the thought of a picnic...but once you mention its at a botanical garden she will do a 180. mirai actually really likes gardening! well. she doesn't know how to but she'd like to learn! maybe even things like flowers and their meanings!

give mirai a bunny and she just. has to fight the biggest urge to not squeeze it ( lovingly of course)

i actually feel like kira would like aka a whole lottt its like. having another older sister!! and alos i feel like aka probably reminds kira of snow white OENDUFKFJ kira likes fairytales 👍 if a bird lands on akas finger shes like omg. omg its true. ITS TR-

mirai.....well. mirai does not do well with people she's doesn't know. but! if she interacts with aka more than once then after a while, she'll start to grow very fond of her!! mirai would definitely be on the look out for aka if she ever follows shula around ensemble square again. though aka has to be careful mirai has. quite the sharp tongue (・–・;)ゞ

maia. let's see... well, maia react the same way as kira, except in this case it's like having a younger sister. she's probably heard about aka before from shula though!! (since maia is out of town most of the time they probably video call or smth...) so she's already had a very good impression of her before or if they ever met 👍

omg. prepare yourself sunny. for the very long rant i am about to go on. prepare for a lot. of angst i apologize KSNDHDKD

before i start btw im sorry if this doesn't make sense i am not very good at explain but i tried- my best- do ask anything if you need ＼(^o^)／ im might've missed a few things for these to make sense i am sorry-

first off is kira!!

the song used for kira is compared child.

for context, kira is a people pleaser, especially towards her mother. she has always wanted her mother to just take a second and notice her achievements, from exams to even helping an elderly cross the road or saving a kitten from the rain. though, due to the high standard that her older sister had unintentionally for her and mirai, their mother pays little to no attention to them. so whatever she does was pretty much based around wanting her moms attention.

from the song it says, "i failed much more than i succeeded, and i only got hurt some more."

kira is always staying up late to make sure she's doing well academically and that she'd be able to do any surprise test that she'll be given in school. although, when being put under pressure to do as well as your naturally smart older sister, it backfires and she ends up not being able to focus which turns into bad grades.

the next line, "its just fate that people will mock what i love most."

kira loves animals, she's an animal fanatic but when you're so used to being belittled and mocked by almost everything you do, she feels the need to hide what she loves so that it won't be ruined for her like everything else is. even if someone doesn't show any ill intention towards her, she'll still hide her likes snd hobbies away because she's so used to believing that there's a chance they might ridicule her for it. she never thought her parents would do such a thing, so who's to say others won't?

next is maia!!

for maia i used what if this isn't a slave.

maia is her family's golden child. growing up, her parents signed her up for all sorts of activities so that she'd be able to find out what she likes and doesn't like. though, cliche-ish, she seems to excell at everything, which caused her parents to give her even more responsibilities to see if they potentially have a genius in thier hands. slowly, she starts to realise that her parents are giving her more roles just so they'd be able to show her off like a trophy daughter (is that a thing?)

the line, "something i don't want to do, the adults are forcing it onto us."

pretty self explanatory, maia doesn't want to do the things that shes being forced into anymore. even if its not fun and they're not even taking her own interests to heart, she can't say anything because she doesn't want to disappoint. speaking of interests..

"Then what do you want to do? I don't know, i said I don't know."

maia has done a lot of things. so much that she doesn't even know what she likes anymore. even if she does, she starts to overthink and starts asking herself if she actually likes this or if its because her parents had forced her into it, so she feels obliged to like it. she doesn't feel in control of herself anymore, feeling like nothing but a puppet to her parents.

next is shula!!

for shula is I'm saying farewell to that rock-and-roll you.

i wasnt actually sure for shula until i saw a comment theorizing what the music video was about then i was like. omg. so true. so credits to that person u r a godsend.

being born in a family that's well-known in the entertainment industry, obviously you're gonna be expected of a lot of things. when shula's brother passes away, she's now carrying the expectations of what her brother once had on his shoulders. she's always felt obliged to carry out all these which made her own standards skyrocket.

"i was a worn out inferior student playing at being an honour student."

There is a perfect version of herself that she's envisioned and is now appearing in every situation that she's in, solving every problem without a sweat when she can't even get by herself. she's jealous of how talented that version of herself is and she's getting pretty irritated by it.

"i always dreamt to be special, even though i wasn't a decent person."

and

"all i'm doing is showing off my lame self no matter how much time passes."

further shows how she wants to be that perfect version of her and how she doesn't like how she is at the moment. almost feeling trapped in some way (?)

near the end, the lines, "i was always trapped by you," and "i understand now."

shula (slowly but surely) starts to realise that she doesn't need that perfect vision of herself to be able to carry out these expectations the way people want her to. she can do things her own way, the way she wants it and she doesn't have to pretend to be someone else in order to make things work. she knows katsuo wouldn't want her to either.

finally is mirai!

mirai's is hide and seek alone.

mirai finds herself at a point in her life where adults are always asking, what do you wanna be when you grow up? when they do, she finds herself thinking back at her sisters.

from the song it says, "you, a worldly-wise figure. You, a worldly-wise figure are glorious." and "you, an excellent risk-taker. you an excellent risk-taker are strong."

that 'figure' she's referring to is both of her sisters, maia and kira. it may not show, but mirai loves and looks up to her sisters. her entire life she's been protected and raised by them, so she obviously thinks highly of them. though, while she looks up to them, she can't help but feel like she won't be able to reach them. in her eyes, they seem to know what they want to do and they're working so hard to achieve their dreams, but she can't seem find one of her own.

another line, "im sick of hearing any words of salvation, so i just cover my ears." and "don't find me, leave things as it is."

her sisters are always telling her, "you'll find your dream someday," and "we'll help you get there!"

but she feels as though shes only wasting their time. she doesn't know what she wants to do, she doesn't think she ever will. she doesn't want them to sit there and wait for her to reach them when they could be doing so much more. they already have a lot on their plate and mirai doesn't want them to worry about her over the littlest things.

she acts as though she doesn't need them, that she's completely fine on her own and that they should worry about themselves instead. though mirai does it in a way where it seems like shes being mean to them, she doesn't intend to.

the violet-eyed female rubbed her calf, right where her younger sister had kicked her in an attempt to wake her up.

"you're gonna be late for school," mirai tugged the duvet off of her older sister, her hair still untied as she held the ribbon in her left hand, "actually, i don't care if you are but I'm gonna be late for school."

her older sister groaned in reply, rolling over in their shared bed, "...okay."

the older brunette sat up once she felt mirai crawling onto the bed and sitting cross-legged in front of her, meaning it was time to get her hair tied. kira rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as she took the ribbon from mirai's hand.

just another day to get by.

"are you sure you didn't forget anything?" the older hoshiko asked for what seemed like the millionth time.

"you asked the same thing five minutes ago."

"...right," she facepalmed herself, "just- don't get in trouble this time, okay? okaa-san might have another meltdown," the brunette mumbled the last part, hoping the other middle schoolers around her weren't listening.

mirai didn't care all that much, what her classmates know or don't know isn't her problem. regarding her sister's words, she merely hummed in reply, thinking about the mess their mother left behind yesterday evening.

she remembered watching kira trying to pick up the pieces of broken glass with her own hands. of course, she interjected and insisted that her sister were to use a broom instead.

"if you hurt your hands, how are you gonna tie my hair tomorrow?!"

she didn't mean it, well, sort of. she genuinely didn't want her sister to hurt herself, but the moment she opened her mouth the sentence was formed in a way that seemed selfish.

though, all her sister did was laugh nervously and told her how it wasn't a big deal and that she was already used to things like this.

"you shouldn't be though."

"it's a little too late for that, don't you think?"

mirai sighed as she walked past the school gates, looking over her shoulder one last time for her sister to finally realize that she was the one who was late for school.

as the younger brunette walked to her class, she tried to drown out the chattering of her classmates.

"so bothersome."

that's what she thought. they were always so loud, don't you see the other students trying to get ready for class? it's too early to be talking so obnoxiously.

during lunch, mirai went to the rooftop to eat her food. the breeze wasn't too strong today so she left her cardigan behind in class. it was a gift from her oldest sister who was living in tokyo for college. not that she would ever say it aloud, but it meant a lot to her and she'd wear it whenever she could.

once the coral-eyed girl found a decent place to sit, she opened up her bento box to see what her sister had conjured up for her today.

on the bottom left portion was rice in the shape and design of a bear with tiny pieces of carrot and seaweed as its eyes and nose etc. right above the bear was karaage and an omelet that was neatly cut in slices. there was also a mini assortment of pickled vegetables and a juice box.

though, on the underside of the cover of her bento box was a sticky note,

i think i made a little too much! maybe you can share some with your friends?

mirai immediately tore off the note and crumpled it, throwing it away as far as possible. huffing, she decided not to think too much about it and just wanted to get through the day.

mirai doesn't like the kids in her school. she doesn't have a particular reason why, there's just a nagging feeling at the back of her head every time someone comes up to talk to her to try and start up a conversation.

"it's bothersome."

that's what she thought. she can see how all kinds of relationships were able to tear people apart so easily and how people of all ages can be so shallow. she just doesn't want any part of it.

walking home wasn't all that bad. home wasn't too far from her school, so she didn't mind going home by herself. the last thing she'd want is for her sister to push herself too hard.

"you can get shula to fetch you though?"

"I can go home on my own, plus her school is further away."

mirai remembers the number of times shula had offered her help to the two of them, saying she could ask someone to help send them back and forth from school to home, they're cousins after all.

both siblings declined, not wanting her family's staff to have more responsibilities than they already do. despite being reassured that it wasn't a big deal, their answer stayed the same anyway.

the brunette walked past a convenience store and outside of it, she saw a couple of students from her school enjoying a few treats they bought.

she stopped in her tracks without even realizing it. for a while, she was looking over at their interaction, laughing and having fun.

mirai hummed softly before continuing her journey home.

"how bothersome."

that's what she thought. she didn't want to go home late and worry her sister, she could never do that to her.

slowly turning the doorknob to her home, she immediately looked out for her parents and tried to listen in on anything that was there. thankfully, nobody was home, not yet at least.

mirai did everything she was supposed to, take a bath, do her homework, and everything.

as her sister asked, she also made sure her ferrets were fed, even though they were sleeping at the moment.

due to kiras' sleeping schedule being upside down, her ferrets are also more active at night like she is. so when the two sisters aren't home, they pass the time by sleeping the day away.

"ferrets adapt to their owners' schedules and they need a lot of attention!"

"don't you already have a lot to do?"

mirai doesn't understand her sisters' state of mind, though she wishes to know what goes on in her head.

why would you put others well being first? do you not care all that much about yourself?

she constantly feels as though she has to remind her sister that putting yourself first isn't deemed as selfish, it's what you're supposed to do anyway, isn't it?

"you're right, but when you get that satisfying feeling knowing that you've made someone much happier than they would've been without you, isn't it great?"

don't you get anything in return?

i don't understand, I don't understand at all.

our views are completely different from each other, and yet you're still able to understand me.

but why can't i understand you?

the younger brunette rolled over in her bed, watching as the digital clock on their nightstand blinked '4:10 p.m.'.

she sighs, "how bothersome."

"that was stupid of you."

"i know…"

"you should've just left her be."

"and treat you like that? i wouldn't be doing my job then," kira gave her a warm smile, though her brows were slightly furrowed.

the two sisters were currently facing each other whilst they lay down in bed.

11:46 p.m.

mirai sighed, "i can take care of myself."

kira frowned in response, "you're the younger one, i'm supposed to take care of you. not the other way around," the female grumbled.

she knew her sister just wanted to protect her, the way maia did for her. though not everyone's the same, she's not as immature as everyone else her age.

"it's been that way for a long time now."

"hey!"

mirai snorts, she hasn't laughed in a while, so this was quite a surprise. to both her and her sister.

"...thanks."

mirai hummed in question.

"for taking care of me."

she looked over at her older sister, eyes already drooping as she yawned, clearly tired.

mirai buried her face further into the duvet, covering most of her face, "...how bothersome."

"you're welcome, anyway."

MIRAI is the youngest of the hoshiko siblings. she doesn't trust anyone from outside of her family very easily, almost at all. she finds it difficult due to the environment she grew up in, believing that everyone will always try to bring you down or use you as a stepping stool one way or another, therefore she's bolder and, albeit a little more mean than kids her age. MIRAI isn't paranoid per se, it's just that she's more cautious around strangers. she has a wall built in front of her to protect herself, though at some point she might start to think it's a little too tall. MIRAI doesn't mean to be, well, mean (adding on to the fact that she can also be very blunt). it's just her defense mechanism every time she thinks or feels anyone wants to get close to her. kira is always trying to teach her that not everyone is out to get her. she's learning, MIRAI promises.
